Welcome to our eLearning zone where you can prepare for practice by completing our eLearning modules. Completion of these modules can support your education and contribute to your CPD.

We have developed our eLearning curriculum and modules focused on the areas of midwifery practice. These are captured under our themes:

Midwifery becoming and being - topics associated with midwifery profession, regulation and practice With woman and family - topics associated with childbearing, child rearing and parenting, including fetal and neonatal development, and psycho-social issues.

Personal development and preparation - modules to support you to enhance your professional development and career.

Take a look through a list of available module topics by selecting 'topics' tab above. Here you can review all the modules available and see a summary of their content. Modules will be added regularly, aligned with our journal articles and content.

Once you have selected a module add it to your dashboard to gain access to the full module, self-assessment questions and activities.

Read the Topic Overview, then complete the suggested Activities. Then answer the self-assessment questions, and reflect on your learning.

At the end of the assessment you will be able to review your score and the questions you have answered correctly or incorrectly. You may then make a further attempt to answer all the questions correctly.

On successful completion of the module, you will be able to download a certificate to save or print, to add to your continuing professional development portfolio.

You can log your learning reflections as you work your way through the self-assessment and complete the eLearning modules. These will be stored in your 'saved reflections' area of 'My Dashboard'. Every completed eLearning module will also be logged in 'My Dashboard' in your 'saved folders' section, which we hope will prove helpful for revalidation, appraisals or career progression.
